Reversing the side effects of Drug Taking

Tooth pain when stressed

I first met Martha 2 years ago. She was concerned about a pain in her front tooth, which she only experienced when she was feeling stressed. She had had an accident at work and got hit in the mouth and it was this pain that recurred when she was feeling stressed. She took good care of her teeth, using flossing and oil pulling and she had bought a dental machine to floss her teeth more efficiently. She was also under the care of a good dentist who was doing all he could to help.

Martha was saving up to go abroad on an extended holiday and had two jobs in a factory and in a supermarket, so she was working a lot of long hours which was after a time making her feel tired and anxious.

However, she was very health aware, followed a vegan diet for a time and had all her amalgam fillings removed and replaced with white ones. Amalgam is thought to be the possible cause of various health problems, so if you are struggling with chronic illness and have tried everything else, it could be worth looking into having your amalgam fillings replaced.

Martha felt challenged on a daily basis, so took Rescue Remedy to help keep her calm. She was especially challenged when dealing with angry customers at her place of work. She had the job of asking people for ID as proof of age and found it difficult to deal with their reactions when they were not happy with being asked.

She was concerned too about her health and spent time researching various illnesses on the internet, which would inevitably make her feel even more anxious.

The Second Visit

After our first meeting I prescribed Martha with two remedies; Hypericum for the tooth pain and Arsenicum for her general well being. Hypericum is a remedy for use when nerve pain is involved, it is especially called for when the nerves are crushed or damaged such as toothache, crushed fingers in a door, or coccyx pain. This is the tailbone at the bottom of the spine and damage to this area can be very painful as it is a nerve rich area of the body and therefore very sensitive.

Martha returned for her follow up appointment after a month and said that she was feeling a lot better, less nervous and the pain in her tooth had completely gone for the main part, although it felt like it was coming back a bit since yesterday.

Smoked Cannabis All Day Long

We continued in this way for the next 3 months dealing with various aspects of anxiety and depression as they arose and Martha was making steady progress. On her next visit she confided that she had taken a lot of drugs for a period of time in her youth. She had been very unhappy and left home and lived in a squat. During this time she smoked Cannabis all day long and took E as well.

Although it had been several years since she last took any drugs it was apparent that she was still suffering from the long term side effects of their use. She had a foggy brain and felt zoned out a lot of the time. There was difficulty in feeling connected with people and making relationships, paranoia and nervous of people. As a child she had been very excitable, her mum told her she was a bit hyper as a child and certainly very bright and open, now the reverse was true. She also, felt shaky at time and said that sometimes her voice would shake.

On a physical level, she was feeling hungry a lot of the time and had had various digestive disorders since those drug taking years.

She was given homeopathic Cannabis and Kali Phos to take together over the following four weeks. The homeopathic Cannabis does not actually contain any Cannabis and would not give any kind of high if taken by a healthy person. However, what it can do, is help the Vital Force (the body/mind) to recognize the disease causing factor and kick start its own healing response to clear away lasting side effects from taking this drug. Kali Phos is a remedy for disorders involving exhaustion, nervousness and mental dullness.

Confidence Returning and Energy Improved

When I saw Martha next she was feeling much more confident and the paranoia was gone too. She was less anxious in dealing with those angry customers and as a result was getting more enjoyment out of her work.

She has now decided to go back to her studies as she is so much clearer mentally and also has more energy. She is working towards a job that would involve care of the elderly or something similar and her life is coming together in a far more positive way.

Conclusion

This has been a lovely case to work with and very rewarding to see such a great improvement. It shows once again the value of sticking with it for a time, while we work through the various layers of disease. Coming to a place of well being is always a journey as we peel away the levels of disease and arrive at the heart of the matter, where the patient feels comfortable and as ease with herself.
